Wednesday's Updates

Javan started crawling this last week. He'd really been trying for quite some time now and was getting aggitated that he couldn't get where he wanted to go. Wednesday and Thursday he figured it out!! He kind of pushes with his left foot sometimes but he can move and he is FAST!!! He is so cute. You can tell what he has in mind to get and now he can go get it!!

He is also pulling up. Last Sunday he pulled up on the table in the living room. This last week, he has pulled up on anything he can...and he's tried several things that won't hold him too. Javan has also figured out a new game. He LOVES dropping things for someone to try to catch. He gets so tickled doing it and has the most adorable laugh!

We bought some new high heeled sandals for Moriah. She loves them and walks around quite proudly in them.

Ruthy and Moriah have dealt pretty well with their Grandpa Bond's passing. This is a tough topic for adults to grasp, much less for kids. Sometimes the things kids say amazes me to see how they are thinking and comprehending the world around them. After Gpa passed away, Ruthy kept praying for God to make him better. After several prayers of this I reminded her that Gpa was in heaven and that he is better. She said, "yeah, but I don't want him to get sick and get out of heaven." The girls both had many, many questions about everything. Ruthy also wondered if we would cry happy tears in heaven when we get there someday and see Gpa and Jesus. Mark (who is always good with analogies) had a good way to try to describe everything to the girls. He said, "you know your markers. You use them to make beautiful pictures and to make things pretty. Then, after a lot of use, they get old and don't work anymore. Grandpa did a lot of pretty things and helpful things but then he got sick and now his body doesn't work anymore so God took him to heaven." They really seemed to understand that. But, what wonderful hope we have that Gpa is in heaven and that someday we will see him again all better. The girls are pretty excited too that Gpa is now able to help Jesus build their castles in heaven.

We enjoyed our week being able to spend time together as a family and time with Gma Bond, Uncle Gordon, cousin Tyler, Aunt Bonita and cousin Brandon. The girls loved playing with everyone. They don't get to see Gordon or Tyler very often so it was a special treat to see them.

The kids all traveled well on the way home and we made it home in about four and a half hours!! Tomorrow we're going to get milk, go to the library, and pick up our pictures at JcPenneys (and hopefully play some too!). Before then, I have a van to unpack, so good night!
