Today was a big day for our little man. With an upcoming end-of-summer trip, it was time to tackle the big task of getting rid of the pacifier (or Ba-Ba to Javan). Ruthy had a similar event back several years ago when we had a Paci Party for her. In exchange for tossing her paci in the trash can, she got a big box of big girl make-up and fingernail polish.
Today, Javan (with a little help from Daddy) tied his Ba-Bas to 10 helium balloons. He was pretty excited to see them go up in the air and fly with Superman.
So everyone went outside and we watched Javan let go of his balloons with great excitement. Click play on the video below to watch!
In exchange for his big choice, Javan now has a Superman hat to wear anytime he wants.

I agree with the other comment...that's a great idea. We may be trying that in a few years as Ella is enjoying her pacifier a lot these day!
