We hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. Friday night the choir sang at the Good Friday Service. Everything went well.
Saturday, Mark had worship team practice in the morning and the girls and I went garage saling. We met up at home just before noon and headed to Brian & Dawn Kindleys' home, the youth mininster, as they had a party. We left directly from there and went to a 50th Anniversary Party for Richard & Lois Brand in Hopkins, MO. We had a good time and enjoyed their party. We made it home in time for supper and to get ready for Sunday. We also colored eggs. Moriah colored a little and smashed a lot.
Sunday, Mark woke up for the Sunrise Service. The girls and I went at our regular time and everyone got ready. We had a fun time at church. Afterwards we came home and ate lunch. Just before naps, we gave the girls their Easter baskets. Ruthy got a pink umbrella and a magnet dress-up bear. Moriah found a stick horse in her basket. Both girls received a set of books to share about virtues and a bunch of candy. After nap time, we hid Easter eggs. Ruthy enjoyed hiding the eggs as much as finding them. Moriah loved finding the "balls" (as she said). Then, we had supper and told the girls they could play with whatever they wanted and it didn't matter if we made a mess. I even left the dishes on the counter (for a couple hours) instead of putting them directly in the dishwasher. It was a fun night.
Today, Mark woke up early and flew to Chicago to be with Mark Nichols and Matt Worstell. He'll fly back home tomorrow. The girls and I went to Kohl's to check out their Easter clearance. We found dresses for both girls for next year. They are really cute. Then, we went to Target and found an outfit for the baby for next year. After nap time, we played outside for quite awhile. We came in, had supper, took baths, then went for a walk. The girls rode in the stroller which made the job a bit harder for me. But, when I asked Ruthy what the best part of her day was, she said "Going for a walk." Okay, that made it worth it all (and the extra effort was good for my legs).
