we're home

well, when we left (the kids & I left on thursday to go to G'ma Bond's house for a garage sale) the kitchen was filled wtih boxes from the garage waiting for the roofers to come. They came on Wednesday before we left. Here it is 10 days later and we're still waiting on the painters to come finish the job! We brought Brandon back with us to stay for a vacation.

Here are some funny things that have happened or been said lately:
* Moriah wanted to wear some purple mittens. After we worked really hard to get her thumb in the hole, she came into the kitchen (probably 30 seconds later) and asked me to pick her nose because she didn't want to take off her gloves!

* While we were driving to G'a Bond's house Ruthy was looking outside. She saw a forest that happened to have a fence around it. She said, "Why do they need a fence around the trees?"

* Javan has been saying "Dada" for quite awhile. We've been playing toy cars together and pushing them around. I taught him to make them go "Plbbb" (sounds like a 'rasberry'). Now he does it every time he sees a toy with wheels!! he loves it!!

* Javan is now waving "hi" and "bye". He thinks it is so funny and the girls love to mimmick him.

While at the garage sale we found a bike for Ruthy. It's a 2 wheeled bike so we're going to get training wheels. It's a little faded from being outside but it's really a good bike.

Moriah and Ruthy found doll carseats at a garage sale and were so excited! They love buckling up their babies and carrying them around the house. Javan found a lego barn complete with three animals, a farmer, and a tractor. He loves it. Plus, once we changed the batteries in it, it plays some fun songs and animal noises.
