Wonderful Wedding Weekend

We left Friday morning and drove to Kansas City. Mark was asked to officiate at Colette McQuillen and Brett Clemens' wedding. Colette was in our youth group in Kansas City. When we moved to KC nearly 10 years ago, Colette was starting Junior High! It was a great weekend!! We loved seeing so many from our Kansas City family, many we hadn't seen in many years unfortunately. It's amazing how fast the kids grow!!

The ceremony was beautiful and the bride and groom were so happy! The church was packed (it seated over 450). Then we went to the reception. They had rented out a restaurant and had 450 replied to come. It was crowded, but so fun to be able to visit with everyone! We walked around and visited with a lot of Northside people (our church in KC). Of course, both girls had to potty at different times so I spent a good portion of my conversation time being interrupted. Since we had to be back for church on Sunday morning, we had to leave around 8pm. We were all sad to leave and had to say good bye.

We got home at 11pm and everyone was asleep. Sunday we went to church in the morning and we all took naps in the afternoon. We all slept for almost three hours! It was so needed! The girls hadn't napped on Friday (except Moriah did for 45 minutes), and on Saturday I had to wake them up after a 1-1/2 hour nap. Today everyone slept in until 7:30.

We got a call this morning at about 9:30, that the roofers would be here tomorrow at 8:30am! so, I spent the morning moving boxes of "garage stuff" (hoses, tools, fishing stuff...stuff) to different temporary homes. Javan's room has a few new boxes as does our room. The kitchen got the most as the table top is covered and under the table is full of boxes. When the men come in the morning, they'll only have to move the freezer, a filing cabinet, and Mark's tool chest. It should only take a few days to do this project, but the entire garage needed to be cleaned out because they will have to rip off a lot of the ceiling and west wall. Then, they'll re-spray the ceiling and paint the wall.

Tomorrow we're going over to Stephanie's house to play. We haven't been able to visit for a long time and the kids are anxious to play! The kids and I are going to visit Gma Bond on Thursday. We're going to have a garage sale there on Friday-Saturday. Mark is staying here this weekend as we'll be spending some extra days at Grandma's.
