Pictures tell the story

We haven't posted many pictures lately...so here goes.

1. Javan turned 2 this summer. We celebrated his birthday before heading to IL, and Mark heading to Colorado. He LOVES cows so a farm theme was in store! Cousin Brandon was here to celebrate with us. Javan & Brandon loved playing with the tool bench that was Javan's present!

2. Here's a peek into what it's like with 6 kids all under the age of 5 in one house (farmyard)... yes, it's wonderful!!!!

3. We celebrated a combined birthday party at Grandpa & Grandma Humphrey's and then another party at Gma Bond's house with Bonita too. The girls decorated their cake with rings and pink poodles and Javan decorated his cake with cows! The cows stuck there too as he pushed them down all the way to their stomachs. Javan's presents were several stuffed cows, which now line his big-boy bed. When Ruthy saw the first cow she said, "We know that's a girl cow because she has gutters!"

4. When we all got home, we celebrated Moriah's 4th birthday. I made the cake to Moriah's request..strawberry cake with white frosting. I baked the cake during nap time and set it down on top of the air conditioning vent so it would cool quickly so I could frost it. Ruthy came out during naptime and wasn't paying attention and stepped right into the cake! It really was pretty funny because you could see her whole footprint in the cake... while I should've taken a picture of that, we just put extra frosing there! Moriah even shared the job of putting on the candy decorations!

5. We had Ruthy's open house two days before her birthday. Her teacher is Mrs. Mitchell and she's very sweet. Then two days after her birthday she started KINDERGARTEN!!! can you believe it?!!?! She loves it! Mark takes her to school at 7:40am and then she rides the bus home and gets off at 3:30.

6. Javan loved his crib but every time I'd check on him he just looked too big and as though he were getting squished in it. We had an extra queen bed that was in the garage and it was time to put it up. Gma Bond had sewn some pillow cases, blankies, and a comforter for him. Javan & Moriah helped me take down the crib while Mark was working and Ruthy was in school. Then we put up the new big-boy bed!! We tossed the cows up to the head of the bed and put his new bedding on. He loved it. I pushed his crib to the footboard of the big bed incase he wasn't ready. The only thing he wanted to do with his crib was jump off his big bed into his the crib and jump! He refused to sleep in the crib!!! He wanted to sleep with the cows on his green bed (the comforter is green on one side and brown on the other!) I laid down with him and he fell right asleep. After a few times of sleeping he laid down and fell asleep by himself!! YEAH!!! The other day (he's been in it for a week now) he tried to crawl out of bed but I had a guard on the door so he couldn't open it. Obviously, he decided to just climb back in bed, but didn't exactly make it. Here's what I found a few minutes later.... he was very asleep in this picture!
