Mrs. Mitchell said that the kids like to ask Ruthy to read to them. She can read!!!!!!!!! She reads really well (and has been for awhile..i'm just not good at blogging). She can read just about anything put before her.
Moriah has been doing good while Ruthy is in school, but by Thursday she's ready for Ruthy to be home for an extended time.
Matt, Monica, Shawn and Hannah Worstell have been visiting. They were here a few weekends ago and then this last weekend. We have had such a great time!!!! I'm not sure who benefitted from it the most. But, Moriah has LOVED having "built-in friends". She's really sad that they aren't here today!!!
A few weeks ago Javan was invited to a friend's birthday party. Then, a week later we went to the same place during Mom's Connection. Both times we were able to go to a petting zoo- farm! Javan loved it. The girls slowly warmed up to it. There were ponies to ride, goats to feed, a miniature pony and her 5 day old baby, donkeys, llamas, chickens, pigs, and a buffalo. Javan loved feeding the goats by laying his hands out flat and full of food. He also loved dumping out his cup of food just for fun!
Mark & I have enjoyed having the Worstells visit. This weekend, we were able to get 2 great babysitters and go out on a double-date (it's been a long time!) We enjoyed Starbucks and then went to a ministry called "The Bridge" in Joplin. It's a great ramp/skate park as well as hang-out, concert spot where kids can learn about Jesus. It was awesome! they had a big awareness night that showed us more of what they do every day to teens in Joplin. They had different eras set up..60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. It was fun!!!
Tonight we made caramel apples. It was fun and very delicious!
