Happy Thanksgiving

It's been quite awhile since we've written. Here's a quick catch-up.
1. Our Small Group. Our small group is awesome! The Wednesday before Thanksgiving Mark baptized four members of our group. Then, this Sunday 12 of them came forward and placed their memberships at Central. It was incredible! The whole 9:30 congregation was surprised to see such a large group come forward. What an encouragement to the church, to us, and to their young families.

2. Thanksgiving Travel. We had quite a trip with A LOT of miles put on the truck during our vacation. It was so wonderful to be able to visit with friends and family that we don't get to see often enough. Ruthy enjoyed having a tea party with Gma Bond and made cookies with Gma & Gpa Bond and Bonita. We all enjoyed the cookies when we took them to Gma & Gpa Humphrey's house. Ruthy enjoyed playing with Hannah. Since she's a year older than Hannah, she felt she had fair grounds to "mommy" her. It was funny though. She was sure to tell Hannah to eat what was on her plate, or whether or not she could get down from the table. Moriah loved to hold baby Allison, who is 8 months old. She was very sweet giving her kisses too. We enjoyed seeing Uncle John and Aunt Sarah on Friday. Mark got some good shopping deals on Friday morning. He left La Harpe at 3:30AM so he could get to Wal-Mart on time. He was able to buy most of the stuff on his list. When he came home the men (Dad, Mark, Mike, John-- Dad & all of his sons-in-law) went out and shot at clay pigeons for a couple hours.

Ruthy is learning about jokes. She understands they are funny but doesn't usually get the punch line. She created her own joke this week. It went like this, "Knock, Knock, who's there? Johnny." Johnny who? "Johnny Amschler." We all laughed at it which made it even FUNNIER to Ruthy. She got a lot of use out of that one this week.

When we came home we spent Sunday-Monday decorating the house for Christmas. It has been fun. Three-fourths of our tree ornaments are on the bottom fourth of our Christmas tree... great location for Ruthy to hang them, great for Moriah to play with them....

I'm sitting here with Ruthy giving her a breathing treatment as she gets ready for bed. Both of the girls have little colds and need to sleep. Hopefully we'll all rest well tonight.
