New News

A lot goes on around our house every day, I just don't always get to sit down to write about it. Here are some updates:

1. Moriah is really talking a lot now. She is using 3-4 word sentences and says some pretty funny things. She is sure to tell us whether Javan is hungry or just needs his paci. She has always been slow to say "Sorry" if she hurt Ruthy. This week though, she has been quick to say it. She quickly adds, "Sorry, didn't mean to." (which isn't always true).

2. This week we've been struggling to get naps taken. The girls would play around and talk or end up playing in their closet during nap time. Finally it got to the point where Ruthy was "tired of Moriah looking at her". So, I moved their beds. Each girl has her own bed and dresser on either side of the window. They were pushed together when we moved here because Moriah was learning to sleep in a big bed. Now Moriah is seeing the room in a new light. I had to move the night light to a different outlet in the room so all the shadows are different now. Tonight she had a hard time going to sleep because the ceiling fan and her dresser were creating weird shadows. It does make more space in their room and a lot more floor room, plus it does look cute!

3. Ruthy's getting pretty brave on the swingset. She's started jumping off the glider to grab on to the trapeze bar. Then, she'll climb up the slide's steps and climb onto the side bar instead of going down the slide. She's pretty proud of herself.

4. Last week we went to JcPenneys and had the kids' pictures taken. It was time for Ruthy's 4 year pics, Moriah's 2 year pics, and Javan's newborn pics. They did good. First we took Ruthy's pictures, then Moriah's then while Javan had his pics taken I changed the girls' clothes for a group shot. It turned out really good. Moriah wasn't very fond of being up on the table (ever since she got the shot a few weeks ago she always thinks she's going to get another shot!). We only were able to take one group shot before Moriah and Javan had had enough.

This week we start playgroup at church on Tuesday and our new small group on Wednesday. Ruthy and I are really excited to make some new friends!

Everyone is asleep now and Javan will be up in three hours, so I'm off to bed! Good night!!
