It snowed again last night. There was quite a bit but Mark shoveled it off pretty easily this morning. Church was canceled last night though because of the snow.
Tuesdsay night we had Adam, Stephanie, Ally and Cy over for supper. We had such a good time. I made manicotti, which is super easy. Just stick a stick of mozzarella string cheese in a cooked manicotti noodle. Then pour spaghetti sauce with meat over the top.
We had a great time getting to know them better and the kids enjoyed playing. After supper we went to a Parents as Teachers health fair. The girls enjoyed the free toothbrushes and playdough.
My friend, Stephanie, has a small business where she makes hair bows. She and another friend just made a website to sell them. They are really cute! Ruthy is modeling one of the bows. http://www.bellalinaonline.com/
Tuesday afternoon I got a hair cut. I really like it. It's been almost six months since my last haircut so it was much overdue. The lady, Lori, is from church and was great. She grew up where my sister Meredith now lives, so that was a neat connection.
Tuesday we went to Mom's Connection at church. We had a good time and the girls enjoyed their time too.
Monday we took Javan to the doctor. He had been constipated since last week. We feel so bad for him. About every forty-five minutes he pushes and has a really hard time. We went to the doctor last Monday and she said to offer more juice and fiber-rich foods (pears, prunes, spinach, peas, etc). So for one week we've done that to no avail. This week she switched him to soy formula. Last week he weighed 16#8ounces with his clothes on, on Monday he weighed 15#12 ounces without his clothes. So, she wants us to come back next month and check his weight. She wasn't concerned and said it can be normal around six months. At the health fair on Tuesday we talked to a pediatrician and he said to add some Karo syrup. We've been doing that and it's really not helping. Mark just bought some dark Karo syrup home tonight so we'll try that. If he's not better by tomorrow morning (friday) I need to call the doctor. He's such a good baby and for the most part is still happy between 'episodes'.
So that's where we've been this week.
Mark is leading worship at church on Sunday. He's pretty excited about it.

this is Cecilia from Brazil. Just a little note about baby's constipation. When my daughter was that age she too had the same problem. The only thing that helped was regular hot milk (not the low fat one) with honey. I just put it in her bottle and it worked wonders. Another thing that helped was a recipie made with Brazil nuts. It only takes the nuts, sugar and eggs. You bake it and tastes really good, besides having good fat. Let me know if you are interested in the recepie and I can e-mail it to you.
