Fun Family Weekend

We've had a great week. Tuesday & Thursday we babysat for Jaylen, a little 7 month old girl. The girls loved taking care of her and Javan even enjoyed having her here. She did great and slept better than any of my kids ever have, so it was easy.

Wednesday & Thursday Ruthy complained about her back hurting and she had a very low fever. She'd been going to the restroom a bit more often too. Since she had a kidney infection in December, I wanted to catch it early this time. After I finally got an app't made she said her back didn't hurt. We kept our app't and took Ruthy to the doctor after we dropped off Jaylen at the office her Mom works at, just a few blocks from our dr's. The girls had fun talking over the seat back to Jaylen on the way to the doctor. Javan is forwards facing in his carseat now so they can't talk to him anymore. the dr decided Ruthy didn't have an infection but understood our reasoning for coming in. (especially since we'll be going to G'ma Bond's house on Tues & Wednesday and Gma & Gpa Humphrey's house on Thurs-Mon).

We got home from the dr' office at 5:00 and made supper waiting for the babysitter to arrive shortly after 6. (Mark had worship practice and I had a Ministers' Wives' get-together). The kids didn't nap because of all the stuff going on so they were cranky. I was nervous leaving with three cranky kids but they did GREAT! Their attitudes completely changed. She got Javan down to sleep and the girls were in bed when I got home (they struggle to stay awake and wait up for me).

Today was Mark's day off. After naps we went to Wal-Mart to take the girls' picture. They were having a sale at the Wal-Mart portrait studio and had a Barbie backdrop they were advertising. we took their picture then went to the pumpkin patch. We had a good time picking out pumpkin. Each child picked out their own pumpkin. Javan loved watching for the dog that lives on the farm and the girls watched to stay away from it....good times!

Tomorrow is the Maple Leaf Parade in Carthage. We went last year and enjoyed it, the girls are really looking forward to this one!
