This year for Halloween, Ruthy dressed up like Barbie's Island Princess, Moriah was Ariel, and Javan was a lion. Ruthy's school has a parade where the kids all walk outside and parade their costumes and a LOT of parents, etc come see them. School got out early (YEAH!!).
Then, after naptime, we walked around the neighborhood and gave our neighbors their treat bags. Rather than trick-or-treating we pass out treats to our neighbors! It's been a great way to visit with them and share with them without begging for candy. We had a lot of fun!!
Then, after playing games and just hanging-out we went to the carnival that was in town. It wasn't busy at all and we had a lot of fun. the balloons in the pictures below aren't from the carnival, Daddy made them.

Aww! What a cute group of trick or treaters. You couldn't beat the weather this year. I like your idea of treating the neighbors as well!
