We sold the van

I forgot to mention in my last posting that we sold the van today. Mark had taken it to a car auction with Dr. Randy (also has a car dealer license) this morning. It didn't sell at auction although there were bids. Then, tonight Randy got a call from the man who'd been bidding on the van at the auction and wondered if we'd accept his bid. We did and took the van to Dr. Randy's for him to sell in the morning.

It was almost bedtime when we took it so Moriah fell asleep in the truck. Ruthy was okay with the idea of it until right at the end. Then, she broke down. But, we started talking about what we'd like in our new van. She's determined right now that it's going to be green..... we'll see what comes of that.

So, now we're down to one car for awhile. We're planning to wait until the new year to buy a different van. I don't get out with the girls much anyway in the winter so it won't really be a problem. The biggest difficult days will be on Sundays when Mark leaves at 6am. It will be okay though. There are so many families that HAVE to get by on one car and we are fortunate to be able to choose to do it for awhile with the goal of getting a newer vehicle. We are very grateful.
