Christmas Tree

Today was the last two performances of the Adult's Christmas program. The kids and I went to the 7:30pm performance. Prior to the show we were beside Mark and his co-worker Josh who was in charge of the lights. There was a Christmas tree on the stage that Josh could control the lights on/off from the light booth where we were. Mark told Ruthy and Moriah to blow the lights on the tree off and Josh simultaneously turned the lights off on the tree. Ruthy thought it was such an amazing tree! Ruthy & Moriah were so excited to be able to blow the lights on/off, clap and the lights would go on/off, or yell their commands and the tree would instantly obey. It was so funny. (it was also funny to watch the people sitting beside the tree try to figure out what happened to the lights). When we got home tonight Ruthy asked if she could get a tree like that one at the concert.

Ruthy loved the performance and was thrilled to see Ms. Tammy, her teacher at church, singing a solo. Moriah thought it was mostly fun to climb on the chairs. They both clapped at the end of each song. Moriah clapped the loudest and Ruthy was always the last one to be clapping. Javan slept through about half of the concert.

Everyone really seemed to like it and the choir and orchestra did an excellent job. It was neat to see a big performance like this.

We are going to have our Christmas here on Tuesday of this week. We're going to open presents early so the kids can play with their things before we leave on our Christmas vacation.

I was talking with my sister last week about our Christmas trip and followed Ruthy into her room. She was packing her suitcase preparing for the trip. She had packed an entire bag of hair bows, a pair of shorts, a tank top, and Moriah's pullups. We emptied it out and repacked some more seasonal clothes and she's happy about it. We are all very excited and can't wait to see everyone!
