We've had a fun week. No one has napped much around here lately, though.

Ruthy woke up this morning at 4:30 sick to her stomach and throwing up. She was better by 6:30am, and back to her normal self by 9:00. Her five-year check up was today which included three shots. She received some money for her birthday so I told her we'd go to Toys R Us to get a toy with that money. She ws excited and even nervously/excitedly talking about how she 'liked' shots (really more excited about her 'prize').

We tried a nap early where Moriah fell asleep while I read but woke up when it was time for bed. She and Ruthy continued to play the rest of nap time. Javan woke up and heard them talking. He waddled into the room and opened their door (just had to push it open). they were so excited to see him, I think all three of them squealed! Gma & I knew nap time was done! We loaded in the van and went to JcPenneys to get the kids' pictures picked up. then we went to Toys R Us to get Ruthy's present. She found a guitar which was marked $12 on the shelf but when we went to check out it rang up at $44! Too bad we had to put it back. She then found a fun little Barbie Princess dress up doll that is about 4" tall that has clothes she can snap on her. She's really cute and a lot more quiet than a guitar!

We made it to the doctor appointment by 3:00. Moriah & Javan fell asleep in the van but woke up when we got to the doctor's office. Ruthy's vision is 20/30. they make her stand on one side of a hallway and look at a chart with shapes (although with Ruthy it would've been better to do letters) then she points at various shapes for Ruthy to say. Then, Ruthy has to cover one eye at a time and say the shape. After her visit with the doctor she knew it was shot time. that's when she got a bit more worried and hid in the corner of the room. Gma took Moriah out in the hallway (upon Moriah's request) and waited. Ruthy did really good with her three shots. She's had a rough evening though with one of her legs being really sore. She was brave enough at bedtime though to take off her bandaides.

Right after supper I put the kids to bed. They were all very ready and went right to sleep.

We're looking forward to going to Mark's brother's house in Arkansas on Friday. His kids will be home for the weekend so we are excited to see them all!
