We're Back!

We had a great time at NYR. We left last Wednesday early in the morning and drove straight through to Castle Rock. It was a LONG drive, but the kids did really good! We stayed at a hotel until Saturday as the lodge wasn't ready for us. The guys went up the mountain each day to set up. Kim Ensminger and I and the kids (her 2-ages 9 & 4 and my 3) went to the Colorado Springs zoo. It was really neat. They had a lot of different animals and many of each species. They even had a place where you could feed the giraffes.

We had Javan's birthday party on Saturday!! We can't believe he's already one year old!! He had a great time making a mess with his birthday cake. Javan's decorations were different kinds of balls. His cake was blue with pictures of different balls on it. The kids had fun watching him make a mess. Javan got a ball and a 'radio' that plays different songs and has a microphone on it. Martin & Jani surprised him with a set of five cars that he loves to push around.

Saturday night was a prayer service and worship at the camp. We had golf carts to use which was very helpful to get back and forth as it's quite a walk between our lodge and the valley where the service is.

Wednesday we celebrated Moriah's 3rd birthday. We all went into town after the morning session and picked up her cake at W-Mart bakery. We made it back for naps and Mark's meeting. Then after supper we had her party. She picked a Dora cupcake cake. It was very pretty. She got a Dora umbrella and a pink sleeping bag. She was excited. Jani & Martin got her a Dora outfit that is very cute!

We had a great time at NYR and the worship and sermons were wonderful. Kim, Jani & I and the kids left in our vans on Thursday night at 8pm. We drove for 4 hours and slept at a hotel. Then, we left this morning at 8am and drove until 7pm today to get back. The kids did super on the very long rides. Thanks for your prayers. Mark and the other guys are driving back tonight as they had to stay to tear down the stage, etc. They will get back tomorrow night. That gives us time to do some laundry and play and hopefully get groceries.

It's good to be home and I'm excited about sleeping in my bed tonight!!
