Our fun day

We woke up today and cleaned and waxed Moriah's room. The girls watched a movie during part of it. After that, the girls and I loaded up the car with extra unused blankets and towels and delivered them to the YWCA Women's shelter. On the way to meet Mark for lunch at Papa John's, we were stopped at a light next to a truck. From the back seat, Ruthy says, "That truck says F-E-D-E-X." I couldn't believe it! That was one of the first things she has started to spell out. Mark had plans to go to Kansas City so we tagged along and let Moriah's room air-out.

Mark ran several errands in KC then we went to Penguin Park. It's a great park that because Ruthy was so little when we left there, we didn't get to enjoy much. They have a great area for 2-5 year olds and a separate area for older kids. It was so much fun and such a beautiful day. While Ruthy ran from toy to toy, Moriah enjoyed swinging. Then, we ate supper at Cafe Italia, a great Italian restaurant we haven't enjoyed for several years.

Last week we put our house on the market for sale by owner. We have it listed in the paper for the next two weeks. Today we had one person call and are planning to come see the house on Thursday.

We had a great time being together as a family and spending the day together. Tomorrow Ruthy has a screening through Parents as Teachers where they will check her hearing, eye sight and development. Moriah is going to play with Ruth Kelly, a lady from church.
